Peaceful place. Has a cool trail on the right when you go into primitive camping area.

Beautiful park. Went on Memorial Day and it was not as packed which was nice. There is a $2 fee. And they do check dashboards for the proof of payment receipt. We just pulled up to pay and one guy behind us told us he was there 5 mins without paying and he received a citation for non payment. $2 is all day. $7 per night to camp. Great swimming spot!

Nice place for some primitive camping. The bathroom is a bit destroyed though as the door in the male toilet is barely hanging on and there is no running water, but this place is a 5 minute drive to Walmart so if you forget something it's incredibly convenient to get it. Beautiful views but not that quiet. It's right in the flight path of DFW so you are constantly hearing planes flying over. But it's $7 a night to camp which is not bad at all and there are always spots available.

The Town of Hickory Creek has always been so kind when booking our reservations to camp at Sycamore Bend Park. The Police Officers are courteous and look out for everyone. The park itself is small, quaint, an amazing view of the lake and a wonderful place to take friends, family, youth groups, etc., for either day or overnight outings.

It's a peaceful park. Sometimes there are deer. Watch for snakes! I've seen 3 there. I like going there to spend the night at the campground. I usually grill something.
